The EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station is a creative, hands-on information center where you can have fun while learning about electricity. Visitors can learn about energy and nuclear power through interactive exhibits. Take a virtual plant tour, walk a mile-long nature trail along the shores of Lake Norman and explore the wonders of the Piedmont’s environment. You can also enjoy a short movie about the history of Lake Norman and the area’s culture. Closed: Sundays, New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
